Mountains in Time

Mountains in Time

The Olympic Mountains, as seen from my apartment window in Seattle, Washington at various times throughout a year. While an immutable reminder of nature's majesty, the mountains and the mood of the landscape change extraordinarily depending on time of day, season, and weather pattern.

In the winter, the Olympics are capped with snow, steadfast and serene. In the spring, the snow recedes, and rays of light slice through the clouds, bathing the peaks in an ethereal glow. In the summer, all is lush, saturated in golden hues of the late-setting sun. In the fall, the snow gracefully returns, presaging the coming winter.
