
I just got word yesterday from National Geographic that my photo will be appearing in the November issue. Needless to say, I’m beyond excited to be getting published a second time in Nat Geo. I’m also very determined that it won’t be the last.

I just got word yesterday from National Geographic that my photo will be appearing in the November issue. Needless to say, I’m beyond excited to be getting published a second time in Nat Geo. I’m also very determined that it won’t be the last.
My photos above will be part of an international exhibition for the awardees of the Worldwide Photography Gala Awards 2009 Juried Annual in Madrid, Spain at The Circle of Fine Arts. The opening and artist reception is on June 21.
The photo on the left won first place in the Abstract category in the competition, and the snowy photo of Central Park was selected to be a part of the group exhibition.
The competition was juried by Susan Zadeh, publisher of Eyemazing Magazine; Chris Steele-Perkins, Magnum; Tim Anderson, editor of the Red Dog Journal; and Brooks Jensen, publisher of Lenswork.
My Hell Valley Snow Monkey image was selected by juror Karen Irvine of the Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago to be a part of The Center for Fine Art Photography’s Animalia Exhibition in Fort Collins, Colorado. Out of over 1,500 images submitted, 60 were selected to be a part of the exhibition. The show will be on display from May 28 – June 26, 2010, with the opening reception on June 4.
I’m thrilled to announce that my photo above won first place in the Abstract category in Worldwide Photography Gala Awards’ 2009 Annual Contest.
My photo, along with the other winning photos in each respective category, will be exhibited in Madrid, Spain in Spring 2010.

My photo above was selected by juror Charlotte Cotton to be in The Art of Photography Show at the Lyceum Theatre Gallery in San Diego, CA from August 29 – November 1, 2009.
From the over 15,000 images from 57 countries that were submitted to the competition, only 111 were chosen to be a part of this group exhibition. The opening reception gala will be held at the Lyceum Theatre Gallery on Saturday, August 29.
My two photos above were selected by juror, Chris Jordan to be a part of The Center for Fine Art Photography’s Works of Man Exhibition in Fort Collins, Colorado. Out of over 1,600 images submitted, 52 were selected to be a part of the exhibition. 39 artists from four countries will be represented in this exhibition. The show will be on display from June 26 – July 25, 2009, with the opening reception on July 3.

My photo above, taken on a rainy day at Union Square, San Francisco last December is going to be published in the September 2009 issue of National Geographic.
Every weekday, National Geographic editor Susan Welchman selects 12 photos in the Your Shot contest for possible inclusion in the monthly print of the magazine. The highest voted photo for that month then gets published. My photo was voted as the audience favorite for the month of March. Exciting news!
